  • a lecture on Latvian history and politics, introducing modern Latvian history and the current political situation in Latvia;

  • a lecture on Latvian culture and art, exploring its historical development and most notable figures, especially in visual art and architecture;

  • a lecture on Latvian folklore, traditions, and customs, becoming acquainted with one of the most interesting forms of folklore – Latvian folk songs (dainas) – and trying to sing and dance them;

  • guided tours of Riga, including visits to several museums and institutions (e.g., the National Library of Latvia, the Livonian Culture Centre, and the Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum);
